Diane

DIANE ADAMS, founder of Company Mezza, (www.companymezza.com), is a 25+year veteran dancer/instructor.  Her 13-yr. background in ballet and folkloric dance in the western New York area, have allowed her to offer a wide range of Middle Eastern dance styles.  She is choreographer for Company Mezza.  In 2003, she worked in concert with critically acclaimed Yasmina Ramzy of Toronto, Canada, in recreating Yasmina’s dance, “Venus” from the Descent of Ishtar Ballet, for Company Mezza.

The Workshop:

Look like a pro dancer and take your dance to new heights using sensuous hands, arms and poses based on technique from Blanca of World Dance New York, and Aziza of Montreal.  Learn exciting ways to link them into your choreographies with the use of various turns and combinations.  Diana will show you how to gain control in using these beautiful moves in traditional and modern Middle Eastern dance.  Suitable for beginning to advanced level students.

The Performance:

Diana, Director of Company Mezza, will perform to a jazz version of Ira Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring the use of hands, arms and poses.
