Samora

Samora is a professional Middle Eastern Style belly dance performer, choreographer and instructor based in Atlanta, Georgia.  This year marks her tenth year in the belly dance industry; though she has been studying various dance genres since childhood.  In addition to teaching and performing throughout the US, Samora is the Director and Founder of the Amoraat Dance Ensemble performance troupe and the Bahiraat Student Dance Troupe.  Samora has a true love for the dance form and maintains a deep respect for the Middle Eastern culture.  She is recognized and noted for her captivating, intriguing and graceful performance dance style and for her ability to connect with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. 

In this workshop Samora will walk students students through several usable combinations for different styles of belly dance tabla/drum solos with an emphasis on allowing students to utilize their own expressive styles and personalities to create solos that are uniquely personalized.  Special emphasis will be placed on proper form/posture and expressive arm poses that work especially well for tabla performances.
