About Jendayi
Jendayi - Lead Instructor, Studio Owner and Troupe Director
Jendayi (pronounced Jen-Dye and means Gives Thanks or Thankful in Ancient Egyptian) is a professional Middle Eastern Style belly dancer, choreographer and instructor based in Woodstock Georgia. Jendayi first began her belly dance studies in 2000 under the direction of Sarai and was a principal dancer of Ora Sarena Dance Company. During her belly dance career, Jendayi has performed for thousands at events such as The Partnership Walk, for Moroccan Ambassador Aziz Mekouar and at restaurants, nightclubs, festivals, showcases, weddings and the like. She is recognized and noted for her captivating, intriguing and graceful dance style and for her ability to connect with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. She is a favorite among many to be sure.
Jendayi continues to train weekly in Advanced and Master's Level classes and has taken classes and workshops with international instructors such as Aziza (Portland/Canada); Yasmina Ramzy, Anglika Nemeth, Jim Boz, Tarik Sultan, Ava Fleming, Zoe Jakes, Moria Chappell, Ansuya, Anasma, Suhaila Salimpour, Alicia Sparaco of Bellycraft, Amy Sigil of Unmata, Heather Stants, Amani Jabril ,Oracle of Jahara Phoenix and Devyani.
In 2006, she founded Sihir Al Hawa her 1st dance company and has since directed both Student and Professional Dance Companies including Banat Jendayi and Badalna. Currently she is directing Jendayi Dance Company- an innovative, professional bellydance company, that performs World Fusion Belly Dance.
